Premiere of Prison Break

from 29 August 2005 to 30 May 2017

Prison Break is an American television series created by Paul Scheuring and broadcast on the Fox network from August 2005. The story centres on Michael Scofield, played by Wentworth Miller, a structural engineer who has the blueprint of the Fox River State Penitentiary tattooed on his body so that he can break his brother Lincoln Burrows, played by Dominic Purcell, out of death row, where he has been sentenced for a crime he did not commit. The first season focuses on the escape plan, and later seasons deal with the pursuit of the brothers and a conspiracy against them. The show ran for four seasons until 2009, and returned for a fifth season that concluded in May 2017.
