ICarly was an American teen sitcom created by Dan Schneider for Nickelodeon. It starred Miranda Cosgrove as Carly Shay, a teenager who runs a web show from her attic with her best friend Sam, played by Jennette McCurdy, and the technician Freddie, played by Nathan Kress. Carly's older brother, Spencer, played by Jerry Trainor, is her guardian, and a lot of the humor comes from his sculptures and mishaps. The show used the idea of a home-made webcast to reflect the era of online video. It ran for six seasons and was one of the most successful shows on the channel, and a revival series appeared on Paramount+ in 2021.
