October 2017 announcement by which Catalonia declared their independence and founded the Catalan Republic. It dates from 27 October 2017. It was part of Catalan independence process and 2017–18 Spanish constitutional crisis. It led to application of article 155 of the Spanish Constitution of 1978 in Catalonia.
