Erling Haaland was born on 21 July 2000 in Leeds. A Norwegian footballer, Haaland is a striker who rose through Molde and Red Bull Salzburg, and then Borussia Dortmund, before joining Manchester City in 2022. His strength, pace and finishing made him one of the most prolific scorers in the world. In his first season in English football he broke the Premier League's record for goals in a single season, and helped City to win the league, the FA Cup and the Champions League, a treble. He is the son of the former footballer Alf-Inge Haaland. He has been a regular for Norway.
