Premiere of The Penguins of Madagascar

from 29 November 2008 to 19 December 2015

The Penguins of Madagascar is an American animated television series produced by DreamWorks Animation for Nickelodeon, spun off from the Madagascar films. It follows four penguins, the strategic leader Skipper, the inventor Kowalski, the explosives-loving Rico and the young Private, who carry out secret missions from their enclosure in the Central Park Zoo in New York. The series parodies spy and action films and is known for its fast-paced slapstick. Several of the characters from the films, such as the lemur King Julien, appeared as recurring figures. It ran for three seasons and won Emmy awards, and the characters later starred in a feature film.
