Premiere of Money Heist

from 2 May 2017 to 3 December 2021

Money Heist, known in Spanish as La casa de papel, is a crime series created by Alex Pina. It follows a gang of robbers led by a mastermind known as the Professor, played by Alvaro Morte, who take hostages and shut themselves inside the Royal Mint of Spain, aiming to print a vast sum of money for themselves. It first aired on the Spanish channel Antena 3, and then Netflix acquired the rights and released a re-edited version worldwide, turning it into one of the platform's most-watched non-English series. The show ran for five parts, and its theme of resistance, with the song Bella ciao, became a cultural phenomenon. A Korean remake followed.
