Charmed is an American fantasy drama series created by Constance M. Burge and broadcast by The WB. It follows three sisters in San Francisco who discover they are witches with magical powers, known as the Power of Three, and who use them to fight demons while trying to lead normal lives. The original cast was Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano, and Rose McGowan joined when Doherty left the series. The show relied on a mix of action, comedy and family drama, and it became one of the longest-running series centred on female leads. It ran for eight seasons and led to a reboot on The CW in 2018.
