The European Olympic Committees is the umbrella organization of the National Olympic Committees of Europe, recognized by the International Olympic Committee, with headquarters in Rome. It represents around fifty national committees and works to promote the Olympic movement in Europe, to support its members and to organize multi-sport events. It organizes the European Youth Olympic Festival, held every two years since the early 1990s for young athletes, and it launched the European Games, first held in Baku in 2015, followed by Minsk in 2019 and Kraków in 2023. It also works with the European Union on issues of sport policy.
