Construction of Rams Park

15 January 2011

Rams Park is the home stadium of the Turkish football club Galatasaray, located in the Seyrantepe district of Istanbul. It replaced the club's old stadium, Ali Sami Yen in Mecidiyekoy, which had become too small and was no longer suitable for modern football. The new ground is an all-seater stadium with a capacity of more than fifty thousand spectators and a partly covered roof. It was known by the name of a sponsoring telecommunications company until the naming rights changed, and is now known as Rams Park. It is closely associated with the club's supporters, who are famous for a very loud atmosphere.
