Fisht Olympic Stadium is a stadium in the Olympic Park at Sochi, on the Black Sea coast of Russia, named after Mount Fisht in the Caucasus. It was built for the 2014 Winter Olympics, where it hosted the opening and closing ceremonies, and it was designed with a translucent roof resembling a snow-covered mountain. Afterward it was rebuilt as a football stadium for the 2018 FIFA World Cup, with a new roof and a larger capacity. It was used for matches in that tournament, including a quarter-final. It has also been used by clubs and for international games.
