Jennifer Lawrence was born on 15 August 1990 in Indian Hills. An American actress and producer from Kentucky, Lawrence began working in television before making her mark in the independent drama Winter's Bone in 2010, which earned her an Oscar nomination. She became a global star as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games films, and also appeared in X-Men: First Class and its sequels. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress for Silver Linings Playbook in 2013, at 22, and was nominated again for American Hustle and Joy. Later films include Don't Look Up, Causeway and No Hard Feelings. She has also been a producer through her company Excellent Cadaver.
