Teletubbies is a British children's television series created by Anne Wood and Andrew Davenport and produced for the BBC. It features four brightly coloured characters called Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po, who live in a grassy landscape with talking windmills and vacuum-cleaner-like Noo-Noo, and who speak in simple, repetitive baby-like language. Designed for very young children, it was both loved and debated by parents and critics, and it was sold to many countries. The original run ended in the early 2000s, and a reboot was made in 2015 and broadcast for several more years.
