Those involved included Thailand, Barisan Nasional Pembebasan Patani, Patani United Liberation Organization and Jemaah Islamiyah. Its causes included the Patani Kingdom, Pattani and Thaification. It led to 2017 Pattani bombing, 2012 Southern Thailand bombings and 2006 Bangkok bombings.
