The Serbo-Croatian Wikipedia is the edition of the online encyclopedia written in Serbo-Croatian, the language that was standardised in Yugoslavia and is now the basis for the official languages of Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro. Because these standards are mutually intelligible but are treated as separate languages for political reasons, Wikipedia also hosts separate editions for Serbian, Croatian and Bosnian. The Serbo-Croatian edition grew especially from contributors who prefer to write in the common language rather than a specific national standard, and its content is in the Latin alphabet, mostly. It is one of the larger Wikipedias in the Balkans in terms of article count.
