Premiere of Brooklyn Nine-Nine

from 17 September 2013 to 16 September 2021

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is an American police sitcom created by Dan Goor and Michael Schur. It follows the detectives and staff of a fictional precinct in New York, including the talented but immature detective Jake Peralta, played by Andy Samberg, and his deadpan commanding officer, Captain Raymond Holt, played by Andre Braugher. The show was praised for its ensemble cast, its humour and its diverse characters, and it won the Golden Globe Award for best television comedy in its first season. Fox cancelled the series after five seasons in 2018, but fan campaigns on social media persuaded NBC to pick it up. It finished after eight seasons.
