The national anthem of the Islamic Republic of Iran is the song used as the official anthem of the country since 1990. It replaced the anthem adopted after the revolution of 1979. The music was composed by Hassan Riahi, and the song is performed at official events and sports competitions. The anthem is known in Persian as Sorood-e Melli-ye Jomhoori-ye Eslami-ye Iran.
