The Olimpiyskiy National Sports Complex is the largest stadium in Ukraine, located in the centre of Kyiv. The original stadium on the site opened in the 1920s as a modest ground, then expanded over the decades and served as the home of Dynamo Kyiv. It was greatly enlarged for the 1980 Moscow Olympic Games, when it hosted football matches, and it was extensively rebuilt again for the 2012 European Championship, which Ukraine co-hosted with Poland. The Euro 2012 final, in which Spain beat Italy, was played there, and the venue also hosted the 2018 UEFA Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool. It serves as the main ground of the Ukrainian national team.
