10th century Persian philosopher and jurist. Farabi was born in 870 CE in what is now Kazakhstan. Farabi is remembered as a philosopher, physicist and music theorist, a citizen of the Abbasid Caliphate. Notable works include “Ara Ahl al Madina al Fadila”, “message in the mind” and “Alfarabi's Philosophy of Plato and Aristotle”.
