Wednesday is an American supernatural comedy-horror series created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar for Netflix, with Tim Burton directing several of the episodes. It is based on the character of Wednesday Addams from the Addams Family, who first appeared in cartoons by Charles Addams. The series follows Wednesday, played by Jenna Ortega, as she is sent to Nevermore Academy, a boarding school for outcasts, where she investigates a series of murders and discovers her own psychic abilities. It was filmed mainly in Romania and quickly became one of the most-watched shows in the streaming platform's history. A viral dance scene from the series also became a social media trend.
