Premiere of 24

from 6 November 2001 to 24 May 2010

24 is an American television thriller series created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran for the Fox network. Each season covered a single day, with each episode representing one hour in real time, and often used split-screen images and a ticking clock. It starred Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer, an agent of the fictional Counter Terrorist Unit in Los Angeles who races to prevent attacks on the United States. The series won several Emmy Awards, including one for outstanding drama series. Its depiction of torture as a means of getting information was widely discussed, and a limited continuation, 24: Live Another Day, aired in 2014.
