Earthquake in the Afghanistan-Pakistan border region. It took place on 22 June 2022 in what is now Afghanistan. The setting was Paktia Province and Khost Province. It was part of list of earthquakes in 2022 and list of earthquakes in Afghanistan. Its causes included strike-slip fault. About 2,025 people died. Some 1,543 were injured.
