Nea Salamis Famagusta FC is a Cypriot football club from the city of Famagusta, also known by its Greek name Ammochostos, on the east coast of Cyprus. Famagusta has been under Turkish control since the military operation of 1974 that divided the island, so the club, like its local rival Anorthosis, has had to play its home matches in other towns of Cyprus ever since. It competes in the Cypriot football league system and its name refers to the ancient city of Salamis, near Famagusta.
