Construction of Lien Khuong Airport

1960

Lien Khuong Airport is the airport serving Da Lat, the highland city in the Lam Dong province of southern Vietnam. It is located in the Duc Trong district, about thirty kilometres south of the city centre on a plateau in the Central Highlands. The airfield was built in the early 1960s and was used for military purposes during the Vietnam War, and later was converted for commercial service. Today it receives scheduled flights from Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and other cities, and it is the gateway for travellers visiting Da Lat, a hill resort known for its cool climate and French colonial villas.
