Vin Diesel was born on 18 July 1967 in Alameda County. An American actor and producer, Diesel was born Mark Sinclair and began acting as a child in New York. After making a short film, Multi-Facial, he was cast by Steven Spielberg in Saving Private Ryan and then gained prominence in Pitch Black and The Fast and the Furious, in which he played Dominic Toretto. He starred in the franchise for more than two decades, and in xXx and The Chronicles of Riddick. He voices Groot in the Guardians of the Galaxy films and in other Marvel productions. He also founded the production company One Race Films.
