Natalia Oreiro was born on 19 May 1977 in Montevideo. A Uruguayan actress and singer, Oreiro became hugely popular across Latin America and Eastern Europe through the telenovela Muneca brava, in which she played Milagros, and the earlier series Ricos y famosos. Her songs and shows made her a big star in Russia, where she was followed by large crowds in the early 2000s. She has released several music albums and starred in films such as Wasabi. Later on, she played in the Argentine film Gilda and appeared in other projects, and she was a UNICEF ambassador.
