A Dutch footballer, Robben was a winger known for cutting in from the right onto his left foot, a move so familiar that defenders knew it was coming and still could not stop it. He was a key member of the Dutch team that reached the 2010 World Cup final and finished third in 2014. His career was frequently interrupted by injuries, and he retired in 2021.
