Disney+

12 November 2019

Disney+ is a video streaming service operated by the Walt Disney Company, which brings together the catalogues of Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic, along with original series and films. It launched in the United States, Canada and the Netherlands in late 2019 and expanded rapidly to many other countries. Its debut was helped by the series The Mandalorian and by Disney's decision to withdraw its films from rival services. It gained tens of millions of subscribers within months and made Disney a major competitor to Netflix. The company later added the Hulu and ESPN content in the same wider streaming strategy.
