Despacito

12 January 2017

Despacito is a reggaeton-pop song by the Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi, featuring the rapper Daddy Yankee, with lyrics in Spanish. It became a worldwide hit, and a remix featuring Justin Bieber helped it to climb the charts in English-speaking countries. It reached the top of the Billboard Hot 100, the first mainly Spanish-language song to do so in more than two decades, and topped charts in dozens of other countries. Its music video became the most viewed video in the history of YouTube at the time. Despacito also brought attention to Latin pop and to Puerto Rico after the island's difficulties following Hurricane Maria.
