Birth of Taylor Swift

13 December 1989

Taylor Swift was born on 13 December 1989 in Reading Hospital. An American singer-songwriter, Swift began her career in country music in Nashville as a teenager and moved toward pop with albums such as 1989, Reputation and Lover, writing or co-writing nearly all of her songs. Her albums Folklore and Evermore in 2020 turned to an indie-folk style. She has won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year several times and is one of the best-selling musicians in the world. After a dispute over the ownership of her early recordings, she began to re-record her albums. Her Eras Tour, which began in 2023, became the highest-grossing concert tour in history.
