Chris Pine was born on 26 August 1980 in Los Angeles. An American actor from Los Angeles, Pine comes from an acting family. He drew attention in the comedy The Princess Diaries 2, and became a leading man as Captain James T. Kirk in J. J. Abrams's 2009 reboot of Star Trek, a role he repeated in sequels. He also played Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman and starred in the crime drama Hell or High Water, for which he was praised by critics. Other roles include Into the Woods and Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. He has also acted in the theatre and directed a feature film.
