Birth of Basshunter

Basshunter was born on 22 December 1984 in Halmstad. A Swedish singer, record producer and DJ, whose real name is Jonas Altberg, Basshunter began making music in his bedroom and became popular with eurodance tracks in the mid-2000s. His Swedish song Boten Anna became a hit in Scandinavia in 2006, and his English-language songs, such as Now You're Gone, reached the top of the charts in the United Kingdom and other countries in 2008. The album LOL and later records, like Bass Generation, brought him an international following. His work combines dance rhythms with catchy synthesiser melodies.
