The Twelve-Day War was an armed conflict between Israel and Iran in June 2025. It began with Israeli air strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, military sites and commanders, and Iran responded with waves of missiles and drones against Israel. Late in the conflict the United States bombed Iranian nuclear sites at Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan, after which Iran launched a limited retaliatory strike on a US base in Qatar. A ceasefire took effect after about twelve days. The war raised international concern over Iran's nuclear programme and its effect on the stability of the Middle East, and assessments of the damage to the programme have differed.
