Red Dead Redemption 2 is an open-world action-adventure game developed and published by Rockstar Games, and a prequel to the 2010 game Red Dead Redemption. Set in 1899, it follows Arthur Morgan, an outlaw in the Van der Linde gang, as the group tries to survive while the American frontier is disappearing and law enforcement closes in. The game is known for its huge, detailed world, a realistic approach to animals, weather and interactions, and a long and emotional story. It won many awards, and became one of the best-selling and most critically acclaimed video games of all time. It was released first for consoles, with a PC version following the next year.
