A conflict between the People's Republic of China (PRC) and Taiwan (officially the Republic of China, or ROC) since 2022, involving multiple large-scale Chinese military drills. It took place on 4 August 2022. The setting was Taiwan Strait and borders of Taiwan. It was part of the Chinese Civil War and Taiwan Strait Crises. Those involved included the People's Republic of China, People’s Liberation Army, Taiwan and Japan. Its causes included 2022 visit by Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan.
