Android 13, internally codenamed Tiramisu, is the thirteenth major version of Google's mobile operating system, released to Pixel phones in August 2022. It added more privacy controls, including a permission for apps to send notifications and a photo picker which lets people share chosen images without giving an app access to the whole library. It brought themed icons that follow the colour scheme of the wallpaper, a language setting for each app and improvements to Bluetooth audio and tablet and foldable screens. Other manufacturers then released their own versions during the following months.
