Dutch graphic artist (1898–1972). M. C. Escher was born on 17 June 1898 in what is now the Netherlands. M. C. Escher is remembered as a printmaker, illustrator and postage stamp designer, a citizen of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Notable works include “Still Life with Spherical Mirror”, “Waterfall” and “Ascending and Descending”.
