Alia Bhatt was born on 15 March 1993 in Mumbai. A British-born Indian actress, Bhatt made her debut in Karan Johar's Student of the Year, and has since become one of the leading actresses of Hindi cinema. She won critical praise for Highway, 2 States, Udta Punjab, Raazi and Gully Boy, and won the National Film Award for Best Actress for Gangubai Kathiawadi. She has also made her Hollywood debut in Heart of Stone. She is the daughter of the film director Mahesh Bhatt, and she is married to the actor Ranbir Kapoor. She has also produced films and founded a clothing brand.
