Hampden Park is the national football stadium of Scotland, located in the Mount Florida district of Glasgow. The present ground is the third to carry the name and was opened in 1903 as the home of the amateur club Queen's Park. For many years it was among the largest stadiums in the world, and a record crowd of almost 150,000 saw Scotland play England there in 1937. It has hosted European Cup and Champions League finals, among them the 1960 match won by Real Madrid in front of a famously large crowd and the 2002 final. The stadium was redeveloped in the 1990s and also hosted football matches at the 2012 Olympic Games.
