Birth of Joe Biden

20 November 1942

Joe Biden was born on 20 November 1942 in St. Mary's Hospital. An American politician of the Democratic Party, Biden represented Delaware in the US Senate for thirty-six years, from 1973 to 2009, where he chaired the Judiciary and Foreign Relations committees. He served as vice president under Barack Obama and won the presidency in 2020 against Donald Trump, becoming the 46th president. His administration passed a large pandemic relief law, an infrastructure law and measures on climate and healthcare, withdrew American troops from Afghanistan and led support for Ukraine after Russia's invasion. In July 2024 he ended his re-election campaign after criticism of his age and a poor debate, and endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris.
